Samsung Galaxy Core Prime
The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime offers the signature TouchWiz experience at a fairly affordable price. The spec sheet of the Galaxy Core Prime does not shine with anything, but apart from the low-res 4.5″ display with a resolution of just 480 x 800 pixels, the phone is a decent solution: it packs a quad-core processor, a 5-megapixel main cam and a 2-megapixel selfie shooter, as well as a 2000mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy A3
The Samsung Galaxy A3 is the most affordable phone in Samsung’s new A series, and what makes it stand out among all other affordable phones is its all-metal super-slim body that looks very stylish. The big compromise with the Galaxy A3 is its low-res 4.5″ qHD AMOLED display, but it more than makes up for that slight pixelization with good overall performance of the capable Snapdragon 410 system chip, a very good for its class 8-megapixel auto-focus camera and an also well-performing 5MP selfie shooter. With plentiful 16GB of internal storage, and an upgrade path to Android 5.0 Lollipop (promised by Samsung), the A3 is one of our favorite affordable phones so far in 2015.
